To start off with take your Ball of Lights, and unravel a couple of feet, make one loop around the base of the tree, go over, under and then back over the cord Pull the cord tight and this will hold the lights in place while wrapping the tree, I like to plug the lights up while putting them on Now unravel 5 ft or so of the lights and begin to walk around the tree As you walk around the tree continually let enough lights out to keep the slack out and make sure they stay pulled tight Be careful not to look at the ground too much while doing this, you may get Continuing doing this until you reach a new limb or smaller portion of the trunk, This tree splits in two after about 3 feet of trunk, so I wrap lights around one limb, and then when I get as high as I can I work my way back down that limb and then go back up the other side When it is time to take the lights down, be sure to mark the end of the last string you put on a tree this way you can work your way off of the tree by rolling the lights back into a ball, also if you work your way out of the tree this way, then you will not get tangled up as much | ||||||||||||
